Born the day after Dian Fossey's murder

Dian Fossey was murdered in Rwanda on the night of 26 to 27 December 1985. The very next day, Fabrice Martinez founded the Gorilla association and flew to Rwanda, where he pitched his tent at the foot of a volcano, in mountain gorilla territory.

Forty years later, Gorilla works without intermediaries alongside the rangers and the communities living around the parks, in Rwanda and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
