Privacy policy
Gorilla collects as little data as possible: no advertising cookies, no trackers, and audience measurement that respects your choice.
Data controller
The Association Gorilla (RNA W262003388), B.P. 131, 26702 Pierrelatte Cedex, France, is the controller of the processing described below. For any question: gorilla@wanadoo.fr.
Contact form
When you write to us through the form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. This data is used solely to reply to you and, if you ask, to process your membership. It is sent by email to the association and stored on the website's server, in a password-protected area accessible only to the association. It is never shared, rented or sold.
It is kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and for no more than three years after our last exchange.
Legal basis: your request and the association's legitimate interest in replying to the people who contact it.
Donations and membership
Online donations are processed by PayPal, which acts as controller for payment data: the association never has access to your bank details. For donations by bank transfer or cheque and for membership, we keep your name, address and the amount paid, as needed to manage members and issue tax receipts, for the period required by tax regulations.
Legal basis: performance of your membership and compliance with our legal obligations.
Audience measurement (Matomo) and cookies
We measure visits to the site with Matomo, free software hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak, configured to respect your privacy:
- before you make a choice, measurement is anonymous and cookie-free;
- if you accept, Matomo sets two audience-measurement cookies (_pk_id, kept for 13 months, and _pk_ses, kept for 30 minutes) to recognize repeat visits;
- if you decline, no cookie is set and your visits are no longer measured at all.
IP addresses are anonymized, data is never shared with third parties and personal data in URLs (name, email, phone…) is excluded from collection. You can change your choice at any time using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.
Local storage
Two technical preferences may be stored in your browser (local storage): your choice regarding cookies and, if applicable, your refusal of the language suggestion. They contain no personal data and you can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
Third-party content and services
Links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, PayPal, Le Monde or the publisher's site open third-party websites, which apply their own privacy policies. None of these services is loaded on our pages unless you click the link.
Data hosting
The site and the statistics are hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland, a country recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise these rights, write to gorilla@wanadoo.fr or to the postal address above. We will reply within one month.
If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
